Free Video Upscaler FAQ
Is the video upscaler free?
New FreeWanVideo accounts receive starting credits that can be used to try 720p upscaling. 720p costs 4 Basic credits per second. 1080p and 2K use Pro credits and require a Pro membership, so this is not unlimited free upscaling.
What resolutions can I upscale a video to?
The current upscaler offers 720p, 1080p, and 2K. The original aspect ratio stays the same, and the short side is matched to the selected resolution. 4K is not currently offered.
How long can the source video be?
The maximum length is 10 seconds after the decimal is dropped. A 10.4 second video is accepted and billed as 10 seconds. A video of 11 seconds or longer is rejected, and a video shorter than 1 second after rounding down is also rejected.
Which model upscales the video?
FreeWanVideo uses FlashVSR, a diffusion-based video super-resolution model, to increase the resolution of an uploaded clip. The workspace shows queue progress and a preview when the result is ready.
